The country’s first Marine business development center was opened at Amirkabir University of Technology.
The country’s first Marine business development center was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Ali Abdolalizadeh, the president’s representative in coordinating the implementation of general maritime development policies, at the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology.
In this meeting, Dr. Abdolalizadeh expressed her satisfaction with the establishment of this center at the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology and said: “This center can play a fundamental role in linking the government, university, and industry.”
She then defined 10 important missions for this center, including consulting and policymaking, market analysis, investment analysis and financing, and international interactions and networking.
Dr. Mehdi Majidpour, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology, said at the ceremony: “In order to implement the policies announced by the Supreme Leader regarding the development of the sea-based economy, Amirkabir University of Technology has seriously entered into operation and the first center for the development of maritime businesses has started operating in the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology.” According to the Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University, this center began operating on a trial basis in February 1402, and so far, two postdoctoral researchers and several doctoral and master’s students have been working in this center, and their research topics have also been defined in topics related to management and sea-based economy.
He pointed out: “Marine-oriented development is not possible with engineering knowledge alone, and requires knowledge and expertise in the field of marine economics, marine-oriented development strategies, industrial ecosystem and innovation, and in general, management science, economics, and policymaking.”
This professor at Amirkabir University of Technology stated: “The elite and young staff of the Faculty of Management at Amirkabir University of Technology has provided enormous potential for moving in this direction.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Management at Amirkabir University of Technology said: “After the trial period of this center and ensuring its performance and efficiency, we are now witnessing its official inauguration by the relevant authorities, especially by the representative of the President. This center will bring blessings and good achievements for the young generation and the future of the country, by the grace of God.”
Also present at the meeting were Dr. Saeedi, CEO of Shasta, Dr. Alipour, CEO of Sadra, Eng. Jafari, CEO of Izoveco, and Eng. Salari, Head of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Marine Industries, who shared some points about the center’s important missions.




In the final part of this opening, some professors from the School of Management, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral and master’s students presented their research achievements.
